(More customer reviews)Since they're made for dancing, they're very flexible and comfortable. They went well with a WWII costume, and they go great with jeans. I did have to scuff up the soles a bit since they're for dancing and had no traction. The buckle is ornamental, not functional. The whole strap fastens with a clasp behind the buckle. Love these shoes so much.
